Position
The Video Editor & Producer for Sporting Kansas City is a key contributor within the Creative and Brand Team, responsible for crafting engaging video content that brings the club’s identity and stories to life. This role supports all areas of the organization by producing high-quality video assets for digital, social, broadcast, in-stadium, and partnership platforms.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced sports environment, has a sharp visual instinct, and understands how to create content that resonates with fans. This role helps advance Sporting Kansas City’s creative output, strengthen the club’s relevance in Kansas City, and inspire fans across every touchpoint.

Essential Functions
• Produce, shoot, and edit video content for digital, social, in-stadium boards, MLS on AppleTV, and club advertising.
• Translate marketing and creative briefs into thoughtful, story-driven video executions that align with the club’s creative and brand direction.
• Support studio and field productions by contributing to camera operation, lighting, audio setup, and overall shoot preparation.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Social, Communications, Partnerships, and Technical to deliver content that supports organizational goals.
• Ensure all video work aligns with Sporting Kansas City’s brand guidelines and visual identity standards.
• Create content for Sporting Kansas City, Sporting KC II, The Victory Project, Argyle Events, and stadium programming.
• Work within Adobe Workfront to manage tasks, track workflow, and incorporate feedback.
• Participate in collaborative reviews and creative critiques to elevate team output.
• Stay informed on video trends, social-first formats, and relevant production technologies.
• Help maintain and prepare equipment for shoots, productions, and gamedays.

Gameday & Event Responsibilities
· Capture and edit video content before, during, and after games for use across social, digital, and in-stadium channels
· Support the club’s gameday social strategy by delivering timely, eye-catching content for owned channels.
· Assist with in-stadium videoboard content, special events, and experiential activations
· Occasional away gameday travel or remote gameday work will be required.

Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Film Production, Broadcast, Journalism, Photography, or a related field preferred.
· 2+ years of professional video production experience, ideally in sports, entertainment, or a fast-paced creative environment.
· Proficiency with professional camera systems, lighting setups, and audio capture
· Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere with working knowledge of After Effects, Blender, and Photoshop
· Familiarity with project management tools such as Adobe Workfront or similar.
· Understanding of social-first creative best practices and how to design for maximum engagement across platforms.
· A reel or portfolio showcasing professional work is required
· Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.

Physical Abilities
· Required to sit, stand, and walk.
· Use hands to operate tools, equipment, or controls.
· Ability to talk, hear, and see clearly.
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
· Must be able to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and all Sporting Kansas City home games.
· Some travel required for away games
