Program Management Director For Global Patriot US Programs

Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as the Program Management Director for Global Patriot US Programs, stationed in Huntsville, Alabama. You will be responsible for meeting the AOP and executing toward the 5-year plan for the existing programs and growth opportunities. You will also be responsible for establishing priorities, optimizing performance and execution across all contracts, supporting both business and customer requirements.

You will support the development of capability roadmaps driven by US evolving needs and ensure alignment with the product roadmaps/development programs for the Global Patriot product portfolio and regional customer capability needs. You will be the primary Global Patriot contact for all related existing contracts for US Programs, ongoing contract negotiations, capture and developing new business and responsible for strategic and tactical new business pursuits with the Requirements & Capabilities team, Engineering, Legal, Global Supply Chain, Contracts, and Finance.

The US portfolio is in various stages of developing integrated air and missile defense that includes procurement, training, fielding, and sustainment. The US Program Director requires knowledge of air and missile defense systems, preferably Patriot, and experience leading teams in this domain. A key aspect of this role is developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with both the US as well as the 18 other partner nations.

This role is very complex, with responsibilities spanning multiple contracts, products and strategic growth areas. In addition, as a member of the Global Patriot leadership team, you will be expected to provide insight and leadership across the portfolio.

What You Will Do

  • Overall leadership of the Global Patriot US program portfolio responsible for driving execution efforts to achieve the LADS Annual Operating and Long-Range plans
  • Establish priorities, optimize performance and execution across all contracts, and support both business and customer requirements
  • Develop program-enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations (organized in an Agile team framework) including but not limited to Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, and administrative functions
  • Lead all aspects of program execution, including meeting contractual requirements
  • Establish and maintain key program metrics, define program milestones/critical path, and monitor adherence to program budgets and schedules
  • Drive tactical execution while meeting strategic objectives
  • Support the resolution of escalated program risks across the portfolio and similarly escalate as appropriate
  • Develop and lead a team of direct and indirect reports. Focus, evaluate, motivate, and reward the program team, enabling them to achieve desired results
  • Ensure that functional resources, tools, and processes are utilized in a consistent way
  • Establish and build strong customer and industry partner relationships
  • Act as empowered authority to accomplish program objectives
  • Lead and/or support new and sustaining business activities to include proposals, ARs and strategic planning with a focus on LRIP optimization, affordability and continuous production
  • Expected to support domestic and international travel as needed

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 14 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 12 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following: program management, engineering, and/or development programs
  • Leadership experience managing risk, cost, quality, and schedule for multiple programs with domestic and international customers
  • Experience leading production programs to include subcontractor development and production

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Understanding of the DoD acquisition environment and processes, along with US Army and/or other service branches programs (large programs preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing large/complex program execution experience managing program staffing, assignments, and resources
  • Strong proficiency in developing and presenting Strategic Plans, AOP, Technology Roadmaps, planning to senior management, and responsibility for executing approved plans
  • Experience leading and/or supporting large complex production programs
  • Understanding of various contract types including domestic, FMS, Cost-Plus, FFP & FPIF, and how to execute within a mixed Program

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
