Forklift Operator & Material Handler

Location: Richmond, CA

Pay: $25/hr

Shift: 5:30 AM 3:00 PM

Type: Temp-to-Hire

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator & Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Richmond. This position plays an essential role in supporting daily warehouse operations, including dock inspections, material movement, packaging-line activities, and general warehouse upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dock inspections and assist with offloading and unloading trucks
• Palletize, stage, and organize materials
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards on the front dock
• Operate sit-down and propane forklifts for warehouse material movement
• Run and monitor automated packaging line equipment (HMI experience a plus)
• Set up IBP equipment, assist with filling, product labeling, and bottle/depalletizing prep
• Support re-work projects and inventory control activities
• Use scanners, labelers, and warehouse computer systems for inventory tracking

Required Experience & Skills

• 12 years of warehouse experience
• 1+ year of material handling experience involving heavy lifting
• 1+ year of forklift operation experience (sit-down & propane)
• Computer proficiency: inventory systems, RF scanners, labeling equipment
• Ability to work safely and follow standardized processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat training (strongly preferred)
• OSHA-approved 6-inch safety boots required

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, CA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
