Job Description
The Monell Chemical Senses Center is a world-renowned non-profit research institute dedicated to advancing knowledge about taste, smell, and related senses and translating discoveries into real-world applications in health, behavior, and policy. Monell is located in Philadelphia’s active educational and life sciences corridor.
The Office of Research Administration (ORA) supports the Center’s scientific mission by managing all administrative aspects of sponsored research. ORA is implementing a PI-centric portfolio model and transitioning to Cayuse Sponsored Projects, requiring increased data entry and management for at least the next six months.
Position Summary
The Data Entry Specialist will support ORA by entering, maintaining, and organizing research administration data across institutional systems. This role ensures the accuracy of proposal and award records, compliance documentation, internal routing materials, and subaward information. The position is essential to ORA’s modernization and process improvement efforts, supporting efficient workflows for Grant Administrators and Monell scientists.

This is a remote position and interacts regularly with Research Officers, PIs, HR, Development, and the Business Office. This role requires a highly motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about data integrity and management.
