Human Services Practitioner Child Protection Team (Finance) Requires the ability to prioritize forensic medical evaluations, consultations, and treatment planning. Facilitates psychological, psychiatric, and specialized juvenile sex offender assessments and evaluations. Undertakes family psychosocial evaluations; crisis counseling; provides expert court testimony; coordinates services; conducts multidisciplinary staffing; interviews parents, caregivers, and children. Provides abuse and neglect photography; consults with other agencies; case coordination; training and education to professionals in the community. Position requires a Level 2 background check and is grant funded. Qualifications Earned Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Bachelor's degree candidates must have at least two years of applicable experience; a Master's degree may substitute for the required experience. Specific certifications or licensures may be required or preferred for certain program areas. Responsibilities Respond to alleged child maltreatment cases and conduct assessments in compliance with established techniques, including initial risk assessments and family assessment. Contribute as a collaborative team member to develop case plans, safety and services planning, developed by other agencies. Prepare and present information and documentation for judicial planning and court processes. Compile reports and maintain client information, both written and electronic, in accordance with departmental guidelines and confidentiality principles. Provide information and community referrals to child victims and their families, following up to ensure services are available and needs addressed. Participate in team management activities, such as development of procedures, guidelines, strategic planning, etc. Develop and present child abuse/neglect training for other professionals and agencies; provide community education. Other duties as assigned.
