Job Description As a Warehouse Associate at Yardbird, you'll store materials, retrieve items, package items, and maintain accurate inventory levels. Your goal will be to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. You'll accomplish this by retrieving daily orders, reporting inventory discrepancies and identifying damaged products.
What you'll do - Maintain basic warehouse organization and cleanliness
- Unload containers and appropriately sort and store products
- Use a combination of pallet jacks and hand trucks to move and store inventory throughout the warehouse
- Abide by all company safety procedures, rules, and regulations
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Basic qualifications - Able to stay on your feet for the entire shift
- Able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds
- Able to lift boxes ranging from 200-300 pounds as part of a team
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings or weekend hours, during our peak season (March-August)
Preferred qualifications - Previous warehouse experience
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Effective communication, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, platform trucks and other necessary warehouse equipment
