HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a travel job in Orange, California.
Job Description & Requirements Title: Dietitian – Dietary Services
Location: Orange, California
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (Approx. 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Monday–Friday, rotating weekends and holidays
Job Responsibilities:
Formulate, document, and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
Conduct and document nutrition assessments, reassessments, consults, calorie counts, and nitrogen balances.
Monitor potential drug-nutrient interactions and provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families.
Participate in interdisciplinary patient rounds, conferences, and discharge planning meetings.
Assist in developing and revising hospital nutrition policies and procedures.
Participate in process improvement projects, community education, and staff in-services.
Supervise or support diet office and patient service staff as needed.
Provide nutrition therapy for patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: 2 years of professional dietitian experience.
Certification: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) required.
Licensure: Active California license in-hand prior to start.
Charting System: Experience with EPIC (preferred).
Previous Charge or Supervisory Experience: Required.
Experience in the following clinical areas:
Acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions (Crohn’s disease, IBS, post-op gastric bypass, short gut syndrome).
Cardiovascular diseases (heart failure, elevated lipids, acute MI).
Endocrine/metabolic disorders (diabetes, DKA, malnutrition, obesity).
Renal disorders (acute/chronic kidney disease, dialysis).
Neurological and psychiatric conditions (Alzheimer’s disease, eating disorders).
Enteral and parenteral nutrition management (tube feedings, TPN).
Preferred Qualifications:\nMaster ’s degree or specialty certification.\nCCS paneling (for pediatric/infant populations) or eligibility within 1 year of hire.\nExperience in a teaching or trauma-level I facility.\nStrong knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition-focused physical exams (NFPE), and evidence-based nutrition therapy.\nSkills in interdisciplinary teamwork, patient education, and care coordination.
