Position: Registered Nurse - Neuroscience Ambulatory\n\n

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neuroscience Ambulatory team. This position offers an opportunity to work with a variety of complex patients in a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will function as a caregiver within a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes.

Available shifts include:

• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
\n
• 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
\n

\n

No weekends, no holidays.

\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

The role involves the following essential functions:

• Assessment: \n
  \n
  • Collect comprehensive data related to the patient's health.
  \n
  • Conduct systematic assessments focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status.
  \n
  • Recognize and respond to changes in clinical and diagnostic patient status.
  \n
  • Identify educational needs of patients and families based on age, disease, and cultural considerations.
  \n
  \n
\n
• Planning: \n
  \n
  • Develop individualized care plans with strategies to achieve expected outcomes.
  \n
  • Formulate patient-centered goals and objectives.
  \n
  • Coordinate a comprehensive plan of care that prioritizes patient and family needs.
  \n
  \n
\n
• Implementation: \n
  \n
  • Communicate and execute the plan of care effectively.
  \n
  • Provide continuous communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  \n
  • Deliver age and disease-specific care in a timely manner.
  \n
  • Facilitate patient and family education to ensure understanding.
  \n
  • Document all aspects of patient care and treatment accurately.
  \n
  • Administer medications following established protocols, utilizing advanced technologies for safety.
  \n
  • Coordinate patient discharges for safe transitions and ongoing care.
  \n
  \n

• Evaluation: \n
  \n
  • Assess progress towards achieving patient outcomes.
  \n
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage changes in patient conditions.
  \n
  • Initiate appropriate interventions as needed.
  \n
  \n
\n
• Identify and address ethical issues within the practice setting.
\n
• Enhance patient satisfaction through proactive engagement.
\n
• Maintain competencies, certifications, and continuing education.
\n
• Adhere to professional nursing standards and organizational policies.
\n
• Perform physical duties including lifting and standing for extended periods.
\n
• Contribute to additional responsibilities as assigned.
\n

\n\nQualifications\n

\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in progress preferred or willingness to obtain within three years of hire.
\n
• At least six months of relevant nursing experience required or participation in a nursing residency program.
\n
• Current New Jersey RN license required.
\n
• BLS certification required.
\n
• Experience in neuroscience, particularly in epilepsy and neurology, is highly preferred.
\n
