Creating an environment that lets customers feel welcome and appreciated. Knowledge of products sold and the ability to answer questions and make suggestions. Collaboration with associates and teamwork to achieve goals. Preparation of beverage selections to recipe and standards, and handling transactions. Offering product samples and informing customers of specials. Providing customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrink. Recommending coffee shop items to meet customer needs. Proper use of coffee shop equipment and preparation of merchandise. Checking product quality for freshness and dates. Proper use of kitchen, espresso machine, blender, scale, and steamer. Labeling, stocking, and inventorying department merchandise. Reporting ordering or shipping discrepancies. Staying current with ads and promotions. Reinforcing safety programs and reporting unsafe conditions. Practicing preventive maintenance and reporting repairs. Reporting accidents and safety risks to management. Ability to work cooperatively in fast‑paced environments. Ability to manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively. Integrity regarding customer and business information. Following directions and seeking assistance when needed. Assisting minors, individuals with special needs, or older adults.
