Job Summary

 

As a Senior Accountant CPA, you’ll be the go-to expert on complex accounting questions, new accounting standards, and helping us stay ahead of regulatory changes. You’ll work with the Accounting team, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure we are compliant, efficient, and aligned with best practices. Your contributions will directly impact the company’s financial health and help drive our continued growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation and ongoing compliance with complex accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842) in a SaaS environment.
• Own the process for proper treatment of contracts, performance obligations, and variable consideration.
• Evaluate Goodwill for impairment and assist with other PBC audit schedules
• Be able to support all areas of accounting (we work as a team)
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with external auditors on the annual audit and prepare technical accounting memos.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, including footnotes and supporting schedules. 
• Own stock based compensation calculations. 
• Tackle special projects, including system improvements and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

• CPA required.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience in a SaaS or technology company.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex accounting issues clearly.

Preferences:

• Experience with NetSuite, SalesForce, various Billing Solutions (Zone, Zuora, etc)
• Remote work experience
