We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Food Technologist with a specialty in Baked Goods for our dynamic Food Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the creation and development of innovative and exciting baked products. This role requires a deep understanding of food science, a passion for baking, and a keen eye for detail. The candidate will work closely with our R&D team to formulate new products, improve existing ones, and drive the project to successful completion.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development of new baked products from concept to launch, ensuring the successful execution of the project.
- Formulate new product recipes and modify existing ones to meet specific nutritional, cost, and product performance objectives.
- Conduct shelf-life testing and stability studies to ensure product quality and integrity over time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Production, and Quality Assurance, to ensure product development objectives are met.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the baking industry, and incorporate them into product development.
- Utilize scientific methods to solve problems and make improvements related to the quality, efficiency, and profitability of the baked goods.
- Ensure all product development activities are compliant with food safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Bakery Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the food manufacturing industry, specifically in the area of baked goods.
- Proven experience in product formulation and recipe development.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of driving projects to successful completion.
- Solid understanding of baking processes, ingredient functionality, and food industry regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using various software and technology tools used in the food manufacturing industry.
