Job Description:

As a Prep Cook/Dishwasher, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, responsible for ensuring the efficient preparation of ingredients and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the culinary team in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
• Follow recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency in food quality.
• Prepare and assemble ingredients for cooking, such as vegetables, proteins, and sauces.
• Ensure all food items are labeled, dated, and stored correctly to prevent waste and spoilage.
• Maintain a clean and organized prep area, including storage and refrigeration units.
• Wash, sanitize, and store all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment.
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Assist with the removal of trash and recycling.
• Support the kitchen team by performing various tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines in handling kitchen tools and cleaning agents.

Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen experience.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• A passion for food and a willingness to learn and grow in a kitchen environment.
• Previous experience as a dishwasher is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• An understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
