Position Summary

Assemble and package products in a fast-paced production line environment, using automated and manual equipment, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Duties

1. Employees will operate various packing and filling stations according to quality and safety standards and production needs. Duties include the following:

1. Ensuring cups, pouches, packages are properly filled with materials
2. Sealing cups, pouches and/or boxes
3. Ensure proper weights per specifications
4. Placing product in packaging
5. Labeling boxes
6. Visually inspecting product including lids, seals, lot codes, expiration dates etc. and finished product
7. Maintaining information to track lot numbers rejected parts and machine setting information

1. Ensure safe operation at all times by wearing proper PPE, reporting or correcting safety concerns, and recommending changes or improvements.
2. Identifies need for equipment maintenance and completes work requests for the maintenance department.
3. Reject non-conforming material using proper procedures

1. Operate electric/manual pallet lift, and restock materials as needed
2. Pays close attention to detail, accuracy and completeness.
3. Pays attention to processes or steps leading to the accomplishment of results, and looks for ways to improve quality, safety, efficiency and/or effectiveness
4. Effectively copes with change, and changing priorities, staying focused on achieving key priorities related to safety, quality and delivery/customer needs
5. Promotes cooperation and commitment within a team environment to achieve individual and team goals and overall deliverables.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Education Degree

• High School Diploma or GED
  

Required Experience

Previous experience working in an assembly, packaging, chemical environment, manufacturing or relevant fast paced environment. 6-mos-1yr

Preferred Experience

1. Ability to read and understand instructions, diagrams and quality check sheets. inspection
2. Ability to interpret and follow written procedures to ensure product and packaging meets required specifications.
3. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities
4. Detail oriented with ability to identify items against specifications

Skills

Pay rate for this opportunity is $17.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
