About the Role

Were looking for a part-time contractor to support market research efforts that inform our product, sales, and marketing strategies.

In this flexible contractor role, youll dig into public data sources, conduct targeted outreach, and help us build a clearer picture of how colleges and universities operate and make decisions. Youll be part detective, part analyst, and part storyteller organizing information into patterns and insights that help our team move faster and smarter.

Responsibilities

• Conduct desk research on colleges and universities, academic programs, and administrative operations
• Identify, gather, and organize public records or datasets from institutional, government, or educational sources
• Reach out to institutions for public information, documenting responses and timelines
• Work with internal teams to understand research goals and adjust focus accordingly
• Summarize findings clearly in spreadsheets, databases, or written reports
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of information gathered

Who You Are

• You have a degree in market research, social science, library science, or a related field or equivalent experience doing real-world research
• You're organized, persistent, and detail-oriented someone who loves putting puzzle pieces together
• Youre comfortable working independently and setting your own schedule
• You communicate clearly and professionally in writing
• Bonus if youve worked in higher ed, public policy, or government-related research
