HR Generalist | Byron Center, MI

Salary Range: $62,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

We partner with manufacturers across Byron Center seeking HR Generalists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies and safety regulations specific to manufacturing.
• Administer HR programs such as compensation, benefits, leave management, and employee welfare initiatives.
• Conduct HR investigations and address employee grievances effectively and impartially.
• Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures tailored to the manufacturing environment.
• Maintain accurate HR records and leverage HRIS for data management, reporting, and analytics.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
• Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, onboard, and retain skilled production and technical talent.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and payroll processing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs specific to manufacturing.
• Proficiency with timekeeping systems (e.g., Kronos, ADP Workforce Now) commonly used in manufacturing environments.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
