Are you a mid level developer looking to take the next step in your career? NS2 Mission is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our team in Herndon/Chantilly, VA . In this role, you will participate in the end-to-end development of cloud-based software solutions. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating all layers of an application—from the data layer and backend services to the user interface. The developer will build APIs, integrate with enterprise systems, and architect solutions that align with cloud best practices and security requirements. The ideal candidate is experienced across the full cloud software development lifecycle and comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments.

• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Technical Leads to translate requirements into user stories and implement new functionality across mission applications.
• Design and implement all layers of the software solution, including data layer, application logic, APIs, and user interface.
• Develop front-end user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React.js), HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
• Design, build, and maintain web APIs and services supporting cloud-native applications and database integrations.
• Deliver clean, secure, and scalable code optimized for modern cloud environments.
• Develop and integrate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to support cloud orchestration and DevOps workflows.
• Leverage AWS best practices to ensure cost-efficient, optimized cloud deployment.
• Decompose functional requirements into technical specifications, development tasks, and testable components.
• Create and maintain unit test scripts and support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and iterative software development cycles.

Minimum of 4–7 years of experience with:

• Application layer programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, Python, or similar.
• Database and data layer technologies, including SQL, MongoDB, unstructured data systems, Python, R, Elasticsearch, or related analytics/data management tools.
• Front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js), HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and related libraries.
• Developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based systems on platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies, including iterative delivery and user-story-driven development.

Additional Required Experience:

• Designing and delivering full-stack software applications across front end, backend, and database layers.
• Developing APIs and web services for data integration and multi-system communication.
• Decomposing functional user requirements into technical designs, tasks, and specifications.
• Working within DevOps or IaC environments to support automated builds, deployments, and cloud orchestration.

Position Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI with an FSP
