Department Volunteer Training Lead (Virtual/Online)

Outdoor Life Leadership empowers boys and young men from underserved communities through hands?on outdoor skills. From survival skills to leadership and disaster preparedness, our programs help participants build confidence, resilience, and real?world opportunities.

Volunteers are the heart of our work mentoring, guiding, and inspiring the next generation of leaders. Join us, make an impact, and help young men discover their potential in the great outdoors!

Lead the training and development of volunteers in your department. Ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities, follow procedures, and have the skills needed to succeed in their roles. Support the departments mission by building a strong, confident volunteer team.

Key Duties


  • Develop and deliver volunteer training materials, sessions, and guides.
  • Onboard new volunteers and ensure they understand department procedures.
  • Monitor volunteer progress and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Maintain up?to?date training resources and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Track volunteer participation and performance for reporting purposes.
  • Act as the point of contact for volunteer questions and concerns.
  • Encourage engagement, skill development, and a positive volunteer culture.
