Job description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are ready for use.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques.
Manage patient records and medical documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff regarding treatment plans and procedures.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging when required, contributing to advanced diagnostic processes.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is mandatory. Must have RDA
Familiarity with dental clinic operations and systems is advantageous.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe working environment.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting while providing compassionate care to patients.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff efficiently.
Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Bilingual is a plus
