Pay Rate: $28 / hour Employment Status: W2 Job Summary As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization. Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress. Update patient health history and chart treatment progress. Expose and develop radiographs (if certified). Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care. Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments. Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems. Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA. Required Skills & Experience Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort. Preferred Skills & Experience N/A Required Education High school diploma or GED. Preferred Education Associate's Degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required). Required Certifications & Licensure BLS certification. X-ray training or certification. Preferred Certifications & Licensure Certified Dental Assistant.
