Job Summary

Bob Dean Supply is on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic individual who is eager to learn and thrive in a team environment to enhance our Transportation and Warehouse departments. This person will make deliveries and pick-ups utilizing a Ford F750 flatbed, Freightliner M2 flatbed, or standard pick-up truck.

General Accountabilities (Class B CDL Driver)

  • Deliver products to customer locations in a timely manner
  • Secures cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
  • Loads and unloads trucks operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary
  • Checks all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
  • Inventories and inspects goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions
  • Obtains receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment when required
  • Checks vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
  • Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs
  • Reads and interprets maps to determine vehicle routes

Job Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class B CDL
  • Experience: 1-2 years as a Class B CDL truck driver preferred
  • Experience: A few months to one year as a warehouse worker
