Job Description Job Description Weare looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll support our finance department by ensuring accurate record-keeping, helping with account reconciliations, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers Perform data entry of invoices, receipts, and payments Support bank and account reconciliations Help prepare financial reports and spreadsheets Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing Support other accounting tasks as needed Requirements: Proven experience or education in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Excel) High attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently Strong communication and time management skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with payroll and/or tax preparation Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience with accounts payable/receivable processing Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas) Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies Familiarity with invoicing and billing software Prior experience working in a small business or startup environment Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability Company Description Our law firm is experienced, stable, family oriented with care and compassion for our clients.
