Packer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced packer to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a cleanroom environment. This role involves packing materials from production machines, building boxes, and preparing materials for shipping.

Responsibilities:

• Pack materials as they come off production machines.
• Build boxes and stage materials for shipping.
• Maintain a fast pace in a production environment.
• Inspect small parts and ensure quality standards are met.
• Communicate effectively with leads, supervisors, and managers.
• Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Orders.
• Utilize computer systems to access work instructions.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in a fast-paced production environment with packing.
• Ability to regularly lift 30 pounds.
• Capability to stand for extended periods, with rotation every 2 hours.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding SOPs and Work Orders.
• Basic computer skills for accessing work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in cleanroom, assembly, and medical assembly.
• Familiarity with cleanroom gowning procedures, including wearing booties, facial hair covers, and hair covers.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
